When the date gone wrong

One sunny afternoon, Chairman call his girlfriend for a dinner date. she decided to bring her friend along on a date. They were excited to eat at this new restaurant that everyone was talking about. The guy, who we’ll call Chairman (because he looked like he could run a meeting), seemed nice enough at first.

When the waiter came to take their orders, he confidently ordered a fancy dish that sounded like it belonged in a five-star restaurant. Her girl ordered something simple but delicious.

Then came her friend, who had a whole different plan. She looked at the menu and, with a grin, ordered not one but TWO meals for herself! The waiter was smiling like he just won the lottery, and Chairman was just staring wide-eyed, probably wondering if he accidentally signed up for a buffet instead of a date. 😂

As they waited for their food, her friend kept ordering more stuff. “Oh, look! They have dessert! I’ll take two of those!” she chirped, as if she hadn’t just ordered enough food to feed a small army.

Chairman’s eyes were as big as saucers, and he couldn’t help but glance at her like she was the star of a comedy show. You could practically hear the crickets in the background as he tried to process the situation. “Is this a date or a food festival?” he probably thought, but he kept his cool, pretending to enjoy the atmosphere. 😂😂

Suddenly, Chairman excused himself, saying he needed to make a quick phone call. Little did they know, he was actually looking for an escape route! The girls continued munching on their food, laughing, and having a great time, completely unaware that the bill would soon crash their party like a surprise guest at a birthday bash.

They were deep into their conversation, and her friend was still devouring her second meal while telling funny stories. It was a fun scene until the waiter brought the huge bill to their table. And guess what? Chairman was still nowhere to be found. 😂😂

She tried to call him, but his number didn’t go through! What a disaster! Suddenly, they realized they both didn’t have enough money to pay for the feast they just had. “Wahala o!” they exclaimed, which is a fancy way of saying, “Oh no, we’re in big trouble!” With no other choice, they looked at each other and burst into laughter. “Guess we’re off to wash dishes to settle this bill!” they joked. It was a funny scene, but deep down, they were panicking. 😂😂😫

So, what do you think of what Chairman did? Here’s a bit of advice: If you’re going on a date, make sure you know how to handle the situation! It’s always good to check with your date about how much they plan to order, especially if they have a friend who treats the menu like a buffet.

Also, having a backup plan is key! Whether it’s extra cash or a funny way to escape an awkward moment, you never know when you might need it. And remember, laughter can get you through almost anything—even washing dishes! 😂

  1. Maintain Clean Environments:
  • Regularly clean and disinfect surfaces, especially in kitchens and bathrooms.

Did you know fact about Bluetooth by WDC

“Bluetooth” technology was named after a 10th-century king, King Harald “Bluetooth” Gormsson. He united Denmark and Norway, just like the technology united computers and cell phones.

The story behind the naming of Bluetooth technology dates back to the late 1990s. In 1996, Jim Kardach, an engineer at Intel, was working on a project to develop a short-range wireless communication standard. To create a memorable name for the technology, he drew inspiration from King Harald “Bluetooth” Gormsson, who ruled in the 10th century.

King Harald, who reigned from around 958 to 986 AD, is known for uniting tribes in Denmark and Norway, much like how Bluetooth aimed to unite various devices, such as computers and mobile phones. The idea was to create a standard that would enable seamless communication between devices, which was a significant innovation at the time.

The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) was formed in May 1998, and the technology was officially launched in 1999. The connection to King Harald served as a symbolic reminder of unity and collaboration in the tech world. The Bluetooth logo incorporates the initials of the king in runic form, further solidifying the historical connection.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast cancer is a significant health issue affecting millions around the globe. Here are some effective ways to lower your risk

  1. Do Not Smoke
Smoking is linked to many types of cancer, including breast cancer. The chemicals in tobacco can damage DNA and promote cancer cell growth.
    How to Avoid:
  • Seek smoking cessation programs.
  • Consider nicotine replacement therapy or medications.
  • Surround yourself with non-smokers to reduce temptation.
  1. Breastfeed
Breastfeeding may reduce the risk of breast cancer, especially if continued for 1.5 to 2 years. It helps to lower estrogen levels and can delay the return of menstrual cycles after childbirth.
    How to Avoid:
  • Consult with healthcare professionals for breastfeeding support.
  • Join breastfeeding support groups to share experiences and receive guidance.
  1. Control Your Weight
Being overweight or obese increases the risk of breast cancer, particularly after menopause. Fat tissue produces estrogen, which can fuel certain breast cancers.
    How to Avoid:
  • Maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
  • Engage in regular physical activity—aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise weekly.
  1. Be Physically Active
Regular physical activity can help maintain a healthy weight and reduces hormone levels associated with breast cancer risk.
    How to Avoid:
  • Incorporate activities you enjoy into your routine, such as walking, cycling, or dancing.
  • Set achievable fitness goals to stay motivated.
  1. Limit or Avoid Alcohol
Studies suggest that alcohol consumption is linked to an increased risk of breast cancer. Limiting intake can help reduce this risk.
    How to Avoid:
  • Set a limit on your weekly alcohol consumption.
  • Explore non-alcoholic beverages as alternatives during social events.
  1. Avoid Exposure to Radiation
Exposure to radiation, particularly during certain medical procedures, can increase cancer risk. It’s essential to be mindful of unnecessary X-rays or CT scans.
    How to Avoid:
  • Discuss the necessity of imaging tests with your healthcare provider.
  • Seek alternatives that use less radiation when possible.

THE BROKEN BICYCLE

A Short Moral Story.

A young boy ran his bicycle into a wall and broke it. He felt very sad, helpless and angry. He carried the bicycle to an old mechanic and asked,

“How much will it cost to have my broken bicycle repaired? It is the third time it’s broken! It’s so precious to me.”

The old mechanic examined the bicycle for a while, then said,
“It’s badly damaged and would cost you so much money, 20 coins to repair. However, a new bicycle actually costs 30 coins. So, instead of spending 20 coins to repair an old bicycle, maybe you can just buy a new one for 30 coins.”

The boy shook his head in disagreement and said,
“No, I want my bicycle repaired, I can’t just let it go. I can’t accept the fact that it’s damaged. I’ll pay you the 20 coins to have it fixed.”

The old mechanic went ahead and fixed the broken bicycle, spending a lot time. The boy then paid him 20 coins, hopped on his bicycle and rode away.

However, the following day, the boy returned to the old mechanic, saying his bicycle had broken again. With sadness and exhaustion, he asked how much it would cost to have it repaired again.

The old man whistled,
“10 coins. However, your bicycle is old and weak and could develop more problems in the near future. Wouldn’t it better to buy a new one which is just 30 coins?”

The boy said disagreeably,
“I don’t want a new one. I’ll pay you the 10 coins for you to have it fixed.”

As soon as the old mechanic finished fixing the broken bicycle, the boy paid him the money and rode away.

Three days later, the boy went back to the old mechanic because his bicycle had broken again. With frustration and despondence, he cried,
“I don’t have anymore money to repair the bicycle again. Not even a single coin!”

The old man shrugged and said,
“You refused to buy a new bicycle for 30 coins. However, you’ve actually spent over 30 coins trying to fix that piece of junk. How wonderful! I guess, that’s how life is. We put a lot of effort and spend so much time trying to change and fix things that can’t be changed. Instead of accepting the reality, letting go and moving forward, we always want to put the pieces together and control things that aren’t in our control. This is a really, really important lesson to learn and the sooner the better. It’ll change your life and help you achieve your dreams. You simply can’t fix or solve every problems, and trying to do so often just makes things worse. Sometimes, you have to accept the truth, let go of what had already happened and focus on the new things. Yes, new things, just like a new bicycle.

Why go to IMF when fetish priests are claiming to turn leaves into money – Kumchacha to govt

Why go to IMF when fetish priests are claiming to turn leaves into money – Kumchacha to govt

The founder and leader of Hope Generation Ministries International, Prophet Nicholas Osei alias Kumchacha, has bemoaned the notoriety of some spiritualists and individuals claiming to possess the power of money doubling.

According to Prophet Kumchacha, such persons only prey on the greed and gullibility of some members of society and have become a menace in the country.

“Recently it was reported that I man was duped because he gathered GHC50,000 and wanted it to be doubled into a million cedis. It is definitely greed that will lead someone to do this. If the person claiming to have such power was capable wouldn’t all the people in his hometown become wealthy?

He noted that the activities of such spiritualists have taken over the media space and questioned why the government will be seeking a bailout from the International Monetary Fund when some priests claim to have such powers.

“The other day I wished I could smack a certain fetish priest through my TV. He had gathered plenty of leaves on TV and was claiming he can turn them into money. If we are in this same Ghana were some priests claim to turn leaves into money, why is our president going to the IMF for financial support? They are all fraudsters and thieves,” he stated.

According to Kumchacha, it has become necessary for the state through the security services and media regulatory agencies to take action against such individuals.

“That is why I like soldiers because the police tend to be forgiving sometimes. That fetish on the TV, for example, I wish two military officers will be assigned to him. Just fill the entire Accra sports stadium with leaves and bring him there, ask him to turn the leaves into money in one hour and leave him in the care of the military,” Kumchacha suggested.
