I see Eno Barony as my equal when it comes to rap – Sarkodie

From the moment she entered the rap scene, Eno Barony announced herself as not being a conformist to the status quo.

A scene that is highly dominated and ruled by the male gender, Eno Barony has over the years worked her way to break the jinx and has in the process earned the acclamation of her male contemporaries.

Ghana’s most decorated rapper, Sarkodie, in a recent interview could not help but acknowledge the prowess of Eno Barony when it comes to spitting hard bars in a way you would not expect from a female artist.

“Eno Barony is like a full rapper. I don’t see her as a female rapper, I see her as an MC. When I say female rapper you can feel the feminine energy… rap has to be heard and Eno Barony is hard so I don’t see her as a female rapper. She is just a rapper,” he said.

“She goes in hard with the bars… the stuff she says, guys could’ve got away with that easy but she still does it. As rappers we have our state of mind when we are writing and when I listen to her that’s what I see,” he added.

Kuami Eugene is known for talking ‘by heart’ – Mr Drew jabs

Singer and dancer, Mr Drew has once again fired shots at Lynx Entertainment signee, Kuami Eugene, over what he describes as the use of inappropriate words when it comes to communicating with people.

The two musicians have been engaged in a series of clap backs following claims by the reigning VGMA Artiste of the Year that, Mr Drew stole his song.

Mr Drew has however denied such allegations, stressing he has never stolen a song from any musician.

He explained that a ‘sarcastic’ comments by Kuami Eugene under an Instagram post he made on his hit single “This Year” which featured Medikal suggested that he had stolen the song.

“I write my own songs; I don’t steal songs from other musicians. Forget Kuami Eugene, everyone knows him for talking ‘by heart’. He even knows that what I am saying is true,” Mr Drew stated in an interview on Delay Show monitored by GhanaWeb.

“The thing is, nobody stole anybody’s song. If we go into details, it is evident that nobody stole a song. He put up an action that suggested that a song was stolen… a label being controlled by Kuami Eugene came to comment under my post right after Kuami’s comment that this was a copy of “NoDulling” by Kuami Eugene.”

Mr Drew in an earlier interview stated that Kuami Eugen has a scholarship in stealing the songs of other musicians.

But reacting to it, Kuami in an interview on Hitz mentioned that, his colleague was only trying to pick up beef with him only to get popular.

“Mr. Drew, you can keep on saying a lot of things about me. And he would get there. They should allow him to explore himself. If this is how he wants to explore himself, he has the room to himself. He should have fun.”

“I think he needs that attention and he wishes I give it to him. I give him that. Mr. Drew, you have it,” Kuami Eugene added.

Kevin Taylor ‘death wishes’ to my family proves he is insane – Stonebwoy

Burniton Music boss, Stonebwoy has disclosed how badly affected he was by some ‘unprintable’ words Kevin Taylor used against his family.

One could recall that the social commentator sent death wishes into the home of the dancehall musician after he reacted to an ‘NDC Pidgin’ tweet, asking for the #FixTheCountry campaign not to be politicized.

“Hoodlums will assassinate the musician’s family and children in his absence,” Kevin was captured saying in a viral video.

But reacting to the issue for the first time in an interview with HitzFM monitored by GhanaWeb, Stonebwoy said:

“That Kevin Talyor guy shouldn’t have said those things. Wishing my family dead and all. Just because you’re sitting in a space that you want to please a political party over a very sensible comment I made. That hurt me. If you wonna talk about my family and kids in that manner, it means you’re mad,”

“If he is ordering for that, I’m waiting for him. Its as simple as that. He should retract that and check his comments the next time. We politicize things in this country a lot so I don’t want to get involved. I don’t know what wrong I did to Kevin Taylor. But one thing I know for sure is that he is on the list of several politicians out there so I leave him to them. One day they will catch him,” he added.

Stonebwoy’s die-hard fan, Aisha Modi has also expressed disgust at the US-based Ghanaian journalist, over his life-threatening comments.

Ayisha Modi took to her Instagram page and wrote:

“This stupid Man Taylor is one of Ghana’s biggest problems and the most stupid being on this earth, he is as useless as the word “P” in psychology. Blind politics is one of the reasons why Ghana isn’t moving forward, how a stupid and useless fool like Kelvin Taylor can be in the political space and expect a better nation,”
