You are very childish – Afia Schwarzenegger slams Berla Mundi, others over Abena Korkor

It appears the brouhaha surrounding the sacking of Abena Korkor from TV3 is not ending anytime soon as media personality Afia Schwarzenegger has taken Berla Mundi to the cleaners following a “childish” behaviour she put out when the issue came up.

It will be recalled that the Media General fired Nana Abena Korkor from its women empowerment show aired on TV3, ‘Ladies Circle’, accusing her of posting her nude picture on social media.

Korkor who is a mental health advocate was co-hosting the show with Anita Akua Akuffo, Chrystal Kwame-Aryee and Dr Vannisa Aseye Atikpui.

“May I lose it all but not myself. I am no longer a TV presenter, in fact, I don’t fit the script and I don’t think I ever will..,” Abena Korkor wrote on her Instagram page after the unexpected sacking.

Reacting to the incident one month down the line, Afia Schwarzenegger hauled insults on Berla Mundi, claiming the latter and some other female presenters at TV3 unfollowed Abena Korkor on social media after she was fired.

“Berla Mundi and some female presenters at TV3 have unfollowed Abena Korkor on social media after she was fired, This is so childish,” she slammed.

Afia Schwar also expressed her disappointment in the management of TV3 over their poor handling of Ms Korkor whom she said was conducting herself so well on the show.

“As a human rights activist, I pity Korkor over how poorly her issue was handled. The management of TV3 knew she has bipolar before employing her. They took advantage of her mental health condition to use and dump her,” she fired while speaking in an interview with Nkonkonsa.com.

I deserve VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’ award – KiDi

Afrobeat and Highlife musician, KiDi says he deserves the overall Artiste of the Year award at the 2021 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).

According to the ‘Enjoyment’ hitmaker, even though other artistes did their best in the year under review, he believes that his works are supreme.

Speaking to Doreen Avio before the 3Music Awards, the newly crowned 3Music Awards ‘Artiste of the Year’ predicted his win at both awards.

He noted that his record label mate and the reigning VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’, Kuami Eugene also worked hard but quickly added that his (KiDi) exploits come second to none in the year under review.

“I’m so proud of Kuami, very hardworking, one of the most talented guys in this generation. He does amazing and even the year under review, he worked hard but everyone also worked hard. I’m so proud of my other brothers, Medikal, Joey B, Fameye, Mr. Drew… People worked. Everybody has worked oo but many couldn’t work for the year”, he said.

The Lynx Entertainment signee also listed his works in 2020.

“I have seen the social media arguments. There was a time Medikal and I were trending because of that. When I see these things, I laugh. The fans always have their opinions. I’m glad because the year under review, the job is there, the works speak for themselves. ‘Enjoyment’ came, Covid shut it down but the “Enjoyment” didn’t shut down, it kept going.

“The blue EP came, ‘Say Cheese’ came, Teddy Riley came, the remix came, ‘One Man’ came and when we dropped the bangers of the year, I had six songs in the top 100, and the number 1 and 2 are the most played songs in Ghana,” he stated.

KiDi is set to release an album this year titled the “Golden Boy”.

CANOPY-WALKWAY IN AMEDZOPE OVER THE OTE WATERFALL ALMOST READY

I just found out there’s currently an ongoing construction of a canopy walkway over the “Ote waterfall” in Amedzope and it even begun in 2020. And I hear it’s almost completed and would soon be opened to the public.
Like I said I keep stumbling on new and exciting additions to the numerous “Tourist attractions and activities” available for Tourists visiting the Volta Region. We are blessed with enormous Tourism potentials everyone needs to come experience.

Building the walkway in Amedzope over the Ote Waterfalls is a smart and strategic idea since the place is already a booming Tourist hub since it is home to Mt. Gemi as well as the highest human settlement in Ghana.
The canopy walkway would give visitors and Tourists a stunning scenic view of the whole lush vegetation and beautiful Ote waterfall.

Thumps up to the Ghana Tourism Authourity and anyone involved in this project. Volta Tourism is indeed winning and I hope the project gets the necessary support to be completed in time.
Visiting Amedzope next week to see the project “filigadodzi” so I don’t speak so I can give you a proper feel of the ongoing project. Who wants to tag along???
