George Britton Is Rather Weak- MzVee

Songstress MzVee has clapped back at George Britton for suggesting that her comeback is weak.

He is reported to have compared the singer’s comeback to her days at Lynx Entertainment where her brand flourished and became solidified.

MzVee will, however, not take the comments lightly. She mentioed in an interview on Starr FM’s ‘The Zone’ that George Britton is rather weak.

According to her, the artiste manager failed to do the needful with his artistes – Keche and Camidoh.

“I’m surprised because he tried to work with me just recently. He’s had two artistes and he’s not been able to do much for them,” said the musician who looked lively.

MzVee however flipped as she enumerated what she has been able to achieve within the short period of her comeback.

“You know what’s sad about this comment he made? It’s that a woman could come out of all of these, to stand on her own feet, shoot four very expensive and amazing videos to very amazing songs, and come to this point…,” she said.

“It’s not easy for anyone to do this and he sits down, behind his computer and writes that my comeback is weak. He is weak for saying that. He’s very weak for saying that,” the songstress jabbed.

She further expressed that although she achieved a lot under Lynx Entertainment, she has not been a failure after exiting the label.

“I think I was doing very well then but I think I’m doing very well now in a different way,” her conviction. “It’s just a new found confidence, I’m just having a good time and I’m not trying to be too perfect. Since I came back, most of the comments I’ve got is ‘I like the new you'”

News of her comeback in January this year spread like inferno especially when she opened up about how depression nearly ruined her life. She said her condition was so dire at the time to the extent that she resolved to take a break to do soul-searching.

You won’t enjoy my music if you are not an intellectual – Bosom Pyung

Bosom Pyung has shared his thoughts on why his style is different and why some people rather see it as weird.

Appearing on McBrown’s Kitchen, the ‘Attaa Adwoa’ breakout star, mentioned that his craft is in-depth artistry that requires deep thinking to appreciate with. “You won’t like my songs if you are not an intellectual,” he said.

The University of Ghana graduate, who studied Political Science and Information Studies, explained that “the way I mix the English with the Twi is so different. So if you are somebody who doesn’t appreciate and not a deep thinker, you won’t see that this guy is doing something different that I have to get addicted to”.

According to the rapper born Prince Ofori, before he came out as a musician, he studied a lot about other artistes and realized only people with unique styles excel and sighted Michael Jackson, Lilwin and Kwadee as an example. “Music is not all about voice, look at how legendary Michael dresses,” he told Nana Ama McBrown.

No gun! Stonebwoy never pulled a gun – Aisha Mode

Speculations are rife on a purported altercation that transpired between Stonebwoy and Angel Town, Manager for Sarkodie, which sources are claiming culminated in the latter getting an eye injury.

There’s also the talk of Stonebwoy pulling a gun during the rift, a claim that was made by Ola Michael, host of ‘Entertainment GH’ Show on Neat 100.9FM.

However, Aisha Modi, an aide to Stonebwoy has rebuffed any claim of gun-pulling at the said incident.

Reacting to Ola’s claim, Aisha, who stated that she was present at the venue, there was a misunderstanding between Stonebwoy and Angel but nobody pulled a gun.

“Stonebwoy doesn’t have a gun. All his guns were seized after the Shatta Wale –VGMA incident,” she said.

Narrating the incident, Aisha elaborated that, Stonebwoy went to support Sarkodie for rehearsals in line with the former’s ‘Black Love’ virtual concert slated for this weekend.

She explained that when they got to the venue, they were prevented from parking at a particular spot by a Soldier, who insisted that nobody was allowed to park at that spot.

They were dismayed when they realized that other artistes were allowed to park at the same spot where they were refused earlier.

Additionally, after they got to the venue, they were made to wait for close to 3 hours, and during that wait, they saw other acts come in and go, a situation that got Stonebwoy frazzled and angry.

According to her, she witnessed Stonebwoy and Angel get into a tense argument but didn’t see any of the feuding parties pull a gun.

“Stonebwoy never pulled a gun,” she said.

Don’t be motivated by the fancy dresses of celebs – Adjetey Anang to new talents

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian actor, @adjeteyanang has advised up and coming film actors to set their priorities right before entering the movie industry.

Adjetey Anang, 47, said some newcomers always focus on the fancy dresses and flashy lifestyles celebrities put out on social media and end up messing up their career.

The “Things We Do for Love” series star made this statement during an interview on Adom TV over the weekend.

“Set your motivation right before entering into the film industry,” he told the host. “Some people are motivated by the fancy dresses Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah wear on social media.”

He said it’s not a bad idea to fancy the lifestyles of these stars but, the goal of newcomers should be about exhibiting their talents and helping the industry grow.

“That one is not too bad but, if that is your main motivation, you won’t go far. Your motivation should be about coming into the industry to exhibit your talent and skill to help the industry grow.”

He said new talents shouldn’t rely on passion but should acquire the necessary skills to develop their talents.

“You can’t rely on only passion and talent; you should acquire skills and train. You can’t be Jackie Appiah and Majid Michel overnight.”

Will you take one picture if you meet Beyoncé – Archipelago mocks Shatta Wale

It seems Shatta Wale’s haters are not stopping any time soon in trying to undermine him meeting Beyoncé face to face and making the Already music video with the multiple Grammy Award winner.

Pope Skinny recently stated emphatically that the Already music video was fake.

Now, the latest person to come against the dancehall musician’s success story is social media commenter, Dennis Anani, popularly known as Archipelago.

According to a recent post on twitter, Archipelago questioned if it was possible for one to just take one picture after meeting Beyoncé for the first.

“If you meet Beyoncé you go take only one picture??? I dey ask!” he queried.

His question has got social media users blasting him to halt all the hate and jealousy against Shatta Wale and that to question why people for once can’t he be happy for Shatta Wale.

Some people have said that Shatta Wale perhaps sowed a seed of discord in Ghanaians and he is paying for it this time, as they wondered why Stonebwoy–Keri Hilson collabo didn’t get this backlashing from Ghanaians.

I Keep My Relationships Private So That In Case We Break Up, Ghanaians Won’t Crucify Me – MzVee

While some celebrities in Ghana are not afraid to show off their partners on social media, Ghanaian dancehall singer MzVee thinks differently.

According to the “Sheriff” singer, she prefers keeping her relationship private so that when it goes south, she wouldn’t be the subject of ridicule.

@mzveegh was the guest on “United Showbiz” with Nana Ama McBrown this weekend. Speaking about relationships, she stated that although she’s single now, she’ll keep her man private if she ever finds one.

“One thing about me is I like to keep my relationship private and out of social media so that in case we break up, Ghanaians won’t crucify me. Any man I post a picture is assumed to be my lover which is not true,” she explained.

What do you think about her statements? Let us know in the comments!
