George Britton describes Mzvee’s comeback as weak

Ghanaian singer MzVee terminated a contractual relationship with Lynx Entertainment after eight years with the label.

Mzvee stressed that the contract between the two parties was terminated with mutual consent and thereafter took a break from the music scene.

In the early parts of this year, MzVee returned to the music scene with her new single ‘Sheriff’ but things have not worked for her as well as it was when she was signed to Lynx Entertainment.

Ghanaian media personality and artiste manager Geroge Britton has opined that MzVee’s comeback into the music scene was a weak one and that is why Ghanaians were not getting more of her.

He made this statement in a conversation with Happy 98.9 FM’s DJ Advicer on the Ayekoo After Drive, when the two were talking about the female music scene in Ghana becoming dormant.

According to George Britton MzVee was one of the vibrant female musicians in the country until she decided to take a leave of absence.

George said, “MzVee’s comeback was neither good nor strong.”

Attributing her weak comeback to her current management, George said, “It may be that her management is not connected and may not know the Ghanaian landscape.”

He believes the songstress and her team are just moving from one interview to the other and no proper work is being done to sustain and make her relevant.

To the entertainment critic, Mzvee’s comeback has been a disaster and wished she had not come back from her sabbatical.

You cannot, dem say dem say na em I and you dey hear. Even the sickness dey fear us.

“Are they not human beings, let them bring a picture of at least one person killed by COVID-19 and we find the family of such a person.

COVID whatever is not in Nigeria, we have hot weather here, the disease is scared of us just as we are scared of it so it can’t come here.

Lack of resources affecting female artistes in Ghana – Sister Afia

Ghanaian music sensation, @sista.afia , has said Ghanaian female musicians are not making the needed impact on the continent due to lack of resources.

Nigerian female artistes have over the past years dominated the Africa music circles with the likes Tiwa Savage, Simi, Yemi Alade, Sinach, among others making a significant impact across the globe, only a few Ghanaian female artistes including their male counterparts have been unable to hit the top list of various African music charts.

Adebayor unfollows Funny Face on Instagram after he disrespected him

Sometimes our own mistakes cause a lot in our lives but we do not know; Funny Face and Togolese footballer Emmanuel Adebayor had been the best of friends. Some people might even term their relationship as brothers since they did almost everything together and were really close.

A couple of weeks ago, Funny Face got the whole of social media talking when his baby mama left his home with his twins(Ella and Bella).

He got very emotional to the extent of posting every single hour, saying all sorts of things about his baby Mama; he even accused his baby Mama of being an ally with his colleague actor Lilwin.

Funny Face also dared some of his fellow comic actors(Lilwin, Kalybos, and Bismark The Joke) to deny the allegations or he releases the numerous evidence he has against them.

Fast forward, Emmanuel Adebayor, Bola Ray, and Fadda Dickson called Funny Face asking him to desist from those social media posts and try settling his issues amicably since those are personal issues and do not need to be addressed on social media.

Funny Face listened to them for a moment, and then he went off again, getting very emotional on social media and making several other posts.

My former manager physically assaulted me out of jealousy – Mzbel

Mzbel has recounted how her first manager manhandled because they decided yo mix business with pleasure.

“I was old but he was very old. He was like, I think, thirty-something years older than me but he was nice, he was kind. He was the daddy I never had. He was my producer, my man, my best friend. He was there. He gave me stuff that I never got,” the singer said but added that it all changed when her career blew up.

“He got jealous because now everybody wants a piece of Mzbel and he blocked a lot of my shows. When I get gigs from London, he wants to go with me and they say okay, this is a low budget show, you can’t come, but we’ll take care of her. He’d cancel the show. He wouldn’t let me go anywhere alone. He wants to check my phone calls, my messages,” the ‘16 Years’ singer recounted.

Mzbel continued that “And if I cannot tell him why this person is texting me this or that, he will beat the hell out of me. If I take off my wig right now and you check my forehead, I don’t have any hair there anymore. I used to braid my hair. When he’s beating me, he’d just grab my wig and throw me like this (all about)” she narrated.

In a report by adomonline.com, she added that she could not report him to the police because he took her from her “very poor background” and gave “me the life that I never had.” Speaking from her experience, the ‘Awoso Me’ singer said that it is therefore not healthy for a female to date their managers.
