Keep beef lyrical not physical – MzVee to musicians

Bubbly singer MzVee has advised musicians to express themselves, or beef, through their songs rather than engaging in physical fights.

While she believes fights happen in creative spaces everywhere in the world, letting it get physical is a no-no for her.

MzVee was commenting on the recent spate of beef among some female musicians in the country with some even getting physical.

Last week Monday, the beef between musician Sista Afia and rapper Freda Rhymz got personal when the two physically faced off at the premises of TV3.

The two female artists, who have over the past few days jabbed each other in diss songs, got physical when they met.

The two had come for separate interviews on Media General’s TV3 but nearly got into fisticuffs after they saw each other.

It took the intervention of the management of the artistes and personnel at Media General to prevent an escalation of the feud.

Commenting on the development in an interview on TV3’s New Day with Berla Mundi, MzVee urged musicians to share their emotions through their songs.

“Fights happen everywhere. It’s not new. They should just keep it lyrical. It shouldn’t go beyond that ever. You should be able to express yourself completely in a song. That’s what music is for. We share our emotions and thoughts with people so you should be able to share what you think in your music but don’t let it ever get physical…,” the ‘Sheriff’ hit singer advised.

“I hear they’ve made friends now so it’s a good thing so they should carry on and do music and even collaborate…,” she advised Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz.

MzVee is currently promoting her new song, ‘Baddest Boss’ which features Mugeez.

I don’t fear anybody – Obofour fires

The Leader & Founder of Anointed Palace Chapel, Rev. Obofour, has thrown caution to the wind, warning he will physically and spiritually deal with a “certain rich man” in Ghana and his TV station.

Although he specifically didn’t cite anybody’s name, many people believe his statement was directed at the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.

Mr. Agyapong, who has sworn to expose fake Ghanaian men of God, has not relented on his efforts for some months now. He uses The Seat on his Net2 TV station as a platform to pursue that agenda.

Last week, he caused the arrest of the Bishop Daniel Obinim, head pastor of the International God’s Way Church,

He was arrested on Tuesday, May 19 over the offense of publication of false news and forging of documents contrary to Sections 208 and 159 of the Criminal and other Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) respectively.

In some episodes of The Seat, two men who appeared on the show to confess how they previously feigned to be men of God in order to make money at the expense of their congregants revealed that Obofour is part of the list of the fake men of God in Ghana.

But in Obofour’s response in a video in circulation on social media, he indicated how ready he is for a fight.

“Let them dare… See I told you people that those people who have presenters and claim they are rich men and are fooling on TV stations. I’ll make them useless physically and spiritually. If you think I’m bluffing, let him dare me and I’ll expose their secrets. In Ghana, I fear nobody but I respect Ghana. That nonsense must stop,” he stated.

He further warned that he is going to expose Ken Agyapong, saying, “I will show who drinks blood and what time they do their killings. We’ll expose them professionally.”

Sarkodie did his part hyping us on Biibi ba; it’s our turn to do ours -Tulenkey

Fast-rising rap sensation, Tulenkey, has shared his opinion that it would not feel right to ride on the back of Sarkodie’s ‘Biibi ba’ feature by recording another song together with all the other featured acts on the song.

According to him, Sarkodie did his part by hyping them on the song and hopefully, a lot of them have managed to stay relevant since. However, another song with a tag to indicate that these are the artistes from the Biibi ba song, would not feel right.

He expressed this opinion during an interview with Foster Romanus on the Late Nite Celebrity Show, which airs on eTV Ghana on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9 pm.

The f*ck boy’s hitmaker said, “I feel Sarkodie did his part to introduce us to the world so it’s our turn to do us. Revisiting that whole page would be like riding on the Biibi ba hype too much”.

However, after much convincing from Foster Romanus about how exciting that would be, he agreed that it does sound like a good idea, although none of them has thought of it, or come up with it yet.

He disclosed on the Late Nite Celebrity Show that he will talk to the other Biibi Ba artistes about it, and hopefully, they will come out with a dope collaboration.

Late 2018, Internationally recognized Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, set out on a mission to find ten lit upcoming artistes so that he could give them a boost in the career.

Tulenkey emerged one of the lucky selectees and got highlighted on Sark’s Biibi Ba song, together with budding rappers like Lyrical Joe, Frequency, Kofi Mole, Toy Boi, Yeyo, Amerado, 2 Fingers, OBKAY and CJ Biggerman.

Searching for a partner on TV is prostitution in disguise – Counselor Lutterod

Searching for a partner on TV is prostitution in disguise – Counselor Lutterodt

Counsellor Lutterodt has described television programs that openly allows people to search for suitors as a means of practicing prostitution.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, he said the fact that these participants hurriedly hook up without taking time to study themselves depicts such shows as a prostitution platform.

“You meet a guy on TV and they give you the things you can ask the guy, all of a sudden on TV you ask the guy and he says I like you, what are the things you know about the person?”

“I think that it is prostitution glorified if you ask me. That we are glorifying prostitution but using other mediums to invite people to practice ‘ashawo in disguise,’ he said.

He added physical looks should not be the only means by which a boyfriend or girlfriend is selected.

“Just by looking at the person, you like him or her. These people come on TV in their best-dressed attire. The guys who come there don’t know you well,” he established.

Lutterodt also identified that most ladies who are often rejected by male participants end up with depression and other mental related illness.

“We advertise ladies on the screens and when they are not chosen by any man, it becomes an issue and leads them to stress and depression. They live with an anxiety disorder and the mental illness that they are not suitable for any guy,” he mentioned.
