Fantana has lashed out at her colleagues beefing in the showbiz industry.
According to the 22-year-old singer, only two Ghanaian female musicians can brag about being international and that leaves the rest of them as local champions who must rather work to build their careers and not beef each other.
“Everyday “Queen this and Queen that”. “Talent this and no talent that” meanwhile only 2 female musicians can brag about being International. The rest of us are local champions. Bet there and be beefing instead of building better brands to be taken serious,” the ‘Girls Hate On Girls’ singer wrote on social media.
Fantana’s comments are coming after Sista Afia sparked a beef controversy with her ‘WMT’ song which saw a reaction from Akuapem Poloo and rapper Freda Rhymz also releasing ‘KMT’ to reply Sista Afia’s diss track.
However according to Fantana, these ‘beefs’ are sometimes fake and though she’s just kicking off her music career, she’s already tired of the beef drama.
Singer Adina is not interested in starting beef with any musician in the music industry.
The singer says she does not think beefs will take her where she wants to go in the Ghanaian and global music space.
Asked if there is some negativity among female musicians, Adina, speaking in an interview via Skype on TV3 New Day with MzGee, said all is well in the music industry as far as she is concerned.
“I don’t think there is negativity [among] the females in the industry and I think it’s been cool for a very long time we haven’t had any issues…” she said and added that stories about beefs are news to her.
The ‘Take Care Of You’ singer, who insisted that she is oblivious of what is happening in the music industry currently even when MzGee drew her attention to the ongoing beefs, was quick to note that “I think everybody should be responsible for their actions…I’m not worried first and foremost and I don’t think one person’s action should be used to talk about everyone else…”
“I don’t know what is going on, I don’t know the details so I can’t even comment on that particular issue,” Adina reiterated.
She, however, was of the view that people should be allowed to make their strategic moves even through “I’m not saying people should go and beef…”
When MzGee quizzed her on whether she will ever beef anyone in the industry to get attention, Adina responded in the negative.
“No I don’t think I would because I don’t think it’s going to [take] me where I want to go in the industry…” she said. .
